ATC - Butterflies #3

I was hoping to have some wait time at the allergist, but since it's Ramadan, the hospital was empty and they took me early... I did have to wait a bit for the prescription though and was able to finish most of the bottom butterfly then.

Have fun today!

ATC - Butterflies #2

Here are two more butterflies. The bottom one looks more like a night flyer...

Have an excellent day!

ATC - Butterflies

Since the boys are home from school and I am having them work on their writing, I have less waiting time I can use for drawing. But, I have done a few more butterflies...

I am beginning to think of those books of squashed fairies that came out a long while back... some of these guys look like they are squirming on pins...

Have a great day!

ATC - Girl in Airplane

I made these for Annabelle's Blog. I drew the black and white one first, but Annabelle said she really wanted the girl to look forward not sideways. So I made the second one, which she liked. Annabelle is going to write a mini-series on her experience flying from Saudi Arabia to California.

Have a great day!

ATC - Butterflies 2

These are the other two I finished on Monday. The top one is the last one I finished and it is a bit lighter. The one below makes me think goth, which is not what I want in a butterfly; they should be happy creatures.

These are done with my Faber-Castell pens. I like the lines I get out of them. The .5 bleeds into my paper a bit. It is irritating, but if I were to get a better quality and type of paper it wouldn't happen. As it is, since I usually use the .5 to fill areas in, bleeding isn't too much of a problem. One funny thing is that my cat likes the smell of the ink and if he comes around while I'm using the .5 I have to be really careful or he smears the ink with his sniffing.

Have a lovely day!

ATC - Butterflies

My Dh wanted me to do some butterflies, now is probably not the best time to be drawing butterflies. I have done four so far and these are the first two. I think the stress I have been under the last few days is showing through in the four I have done so far. Hopefully as I do more they will lighten up a bit.

When I loaded these I noticed the one on the right has some black on the edge, bummer. I normally get that fixed in Photoshop, but at his point, I'm so tired it's going to stay there for a while... These are both done with my Faber-Castell pens.

Have a fabulous day!

ATC - Flowers

I've been rather busy getting our daughter off and helping deal with plane travel issues. Thank goodness for SKYPE. She got stuck at the airport for 14 hours or so and we were able to chat for a large part of that time. Hopefully her luggage will show up soon... At least she is with her grandmother who is able to smooth things over and take her shopping.

These I did with Faber-Castell TG1-S .1, .3 and .5 pens. I am really enjoying using these pens The only problem I am encountering is that the caps won't stay on the end of the pens. So when I am out, like at the allergist today, the cap falls off and rolls around, then I have to find it. It's just a bit irritating. When I am working at my desk it's not usually a problem as I set the cap down.

Have a great day!

I did this ATC today for Annabelle's story that is placed on the moon.

This week has been quite busy as we get ready for my daughter's departure from Kingdom and new life phase - aaaahhhh, she's off to college in the fall...

Have a beautiful day!
