These two ATCs went out with Birthday Happy Mail. The names were in the empty part of the leaf. I scanned them before putting in the names so that you can print them out and write in a name :)  Enjoy them.

The two ATCs today are special flowers for special people.

The bottom half of the leaf on the Happy Birthday card is blank so you can print it and fill in a name.

The Mother's Day card is the last ATC I gave my mother. She really liked receiving the cards and often printed them off of my blog onto 8.5 x 11 photo paper. Sometimes she colored them in Photoshop before printing. She liked having lots of color in her environment.

I haven't posted in a long while and have a bit of a backlog. Hopefully I will be able to get some more stuff posted soon...

Onto the Birthday Card - Under the ribbon is a crown pop-up card. The second page has a flap and a bunch of tags and quotes. On the divider is an envelope with a happy birthday banner. The large envelope under the flap holds a note or picture from family members. On the page under the divider are more quotes and confetti. The last pages have a rosette and a pocket with lots of goodies.

Life Notes - I ended up sending this card out from the States. It was almost done when I got the call that my mom had died. She had cancer for the second time and had felt great until just before her birthday. She died a few days after her 80th birthday. So that tells you the main event that has lead to why I haven't posted for a long time. Then, I spent some time with my dad while my husband and the boys went on our vacation. I joined them for our vacation and we got back a few days ago. Hopefully I'll collect myself together and get back to posting at least intermittently.

P.S. People like Happy Mail when you can't be with them. For a short time, when they receive your mail, you are with them and they know you are thinking about them often enough to take the time to send them a note, a card, or even a postcard.

We have a series of birthdays in the first part of the year and this is the card for Myra's birthday. It is similar to the three I posted previously. I made several book bases for the cards all at once and they will all have similar interiors. I have made each of the cards with a crown that pops up when they are opened, but only the first two cards are actually the same so far.  The interior of this one I had to change up a bit because the banner didn't fit in an envelope. I added extra pockets with quotes to this card. Myra likes bunnies so I found some bunny cards and graphics and printed those off and stick them in pockets. The paper the beaded name is on can be flipped up and the name removed. Under the paper is another quote. Each card is the same, but unique... I am enjoying making different cards from the same base.

ATC Birthday

#419 Birthday

Both my father's and my husband's Birthdays are in January and I made them each a birthday ATC to go in their card - which will be the next post [spoiler alert to my father if he hasn't received his yet, and he doesn't know whether his is #419 or #423 until he gets his card ;) ]. I wrote their names on the leaves that are blank. I left the leaves blank in this post in the event you want to give them to a birthday person too.
