I colored the backgrounds with one of my grey Flexmarkers. It makes the white of the paper stand out. I'm still trying to find a white gel pen here... I found an x-ray marking pen, but it is too fat for highlighting small spaces. Ah well, one will turn up or I will get one when I am out of Saudi sometime.

While I was looking for a white gel pen, I found a cute little gold pen. It doesn't have a brand name, but the casing is gold with white hearts and is about 4.25 inches long. I also got a silver pen at the same time which has the label Inoxcrom short roller gel. They could be made by the same company... They flow quite well and the point is fairly small. I am enjoying using them.

I like the look of the colored pencil smoothed out with the sansodor solvent. Despite the name it does stink and I have to make sure there is good ventilation.

14x17 inch Flower

 I decided to draw out a larger flower on 14 in. x 17 in. smooth Bristol paper and then color it. The piece took quite awhile and it was a chore having to keep it clean. After this experience, I bought a display book to keep my larger pieces clean while I work on them.
