Post Card to Color #2

I drew this postcard for fun and thought that you might like to print and color it. The top picture is how I colored the original and you're welcome to print and send it too.

Generally I print the front and back separately and after coloring, I glue them back to back. Don't use too much glue or it will buckle and possibly bleed. Put something heavy on top while it's drying to keep it flat.

Also, if anyone prints it on a laser printer and foils the design, link a picture in the comments.

Have a beautiful day!

Card - When Pigs Fly

When Pigs Fly
When I first saw this Deep Red Piglet stamp, I wanted to make this card. Finally I was able to purchase this stamp and receive it, yay! I had previously bought the Wings stamp by Deep Red and they make a perfect pair. I stamped the piglet and the wings with StazOn ink and colored them, the card base, and the lettering with Derwent Inktense blocks. I dotted stickles around to simulate a cloud. The stickles sparkliness didn't show up in in the picture, but the sparkles look great in real life. I have not sent this card out yet; it is sitting on the shelf above my desk making me smile every time I look at it.

Have an uplifting day!

Card - Box Garden

Pop-up Box Card
I decided to try my hand at a pop-up box card. Many of the cards of this style I have seen have an equal amount of box top and bottom. I wanted more space on the top to decorate, so I made my card base with a short box bottom and a tall box top. This meant that the flaps angle out nicely from the box and there was plenty space to decorate the top. I thought it would be fun to put a garden in the box and have insects and things pop up and out. For instance, the dragonfly is on a piece of acetate so it looks like it's suspended above the garden. I had fun making this card and probably filled it too full... Oh well, perhaps it is overgrown because currently we are living in a desert and it is usually pretty hot and brown.

Have a beautiful day!
